Iwai-san is a Master when it comes to fishing mountain steams with light tackle. It is easy enough to find lightweight rods and reels that can deliver on delicate presentation however there was always a difficulty to find the hooks to tie tiny flies, tippet to connect them and leaders that are long enough and fine enough to present a tiny midge to the easily spooked Yamame. With this background, VARIVAS® have brought together know-how and expertise to create what is probably the world’s most delicate dry fly presentation system. Packed in 30’s, all hooks come in a unique stackable plastic box with a flip-open front panel to protect and organize them. VARIVAS® IWI S-2000 Standard Dry 2x Fine Micro barb, Long-taper point – down-eyed Replaces the 981 and retains its superior strength and is super sharp, for best hook-setting and holding ability.
