Whiting Silver Grade Genetic Dry Fly Rooster Capes, Whiting use a medal system to grade their Dry Fly Capes and Saddles so Gold grade is the highest then silver, bronze and then Pro-Grade. The difference between Silver and Bronze is massive!! The Silver Grade offers a bigger pelt, more densely hackled, very long hackles that will tie down to approx. size 20 that will tie a number of flies per hackle!! So basically you will get a lot more flies per hackle and there for they are more cost effective!!
So what can I expect from my Whiting SILVER Grade Genetic Dry Fly Rooster Cape,
. A large pelt with a Very good density of hackles.
.Hackles will have a very fine quill for ease of use.
. Capes will tie approx. size 10 to 20 with some going smaller.
. The average hackle will tie 3-4 flies using the sweet spot.
.Silver Grade Capes will have greater density and hackle length than a Pro.Grade and Bronze Grade.
.Each Cape will produce around 5-7 hackle sizes 20/18/16/14/12/10/8 approx.
.Available in FULL or HALF Capes.
