A fantastic Hen cape from Whiting. Beautifully dyed with 100s of very soft mottled hackles perfect for various Wets and nymphs etc. Been tying with these for a number of years, and they are a tyers dream to work with. The usual high quality product from Nigel.

Fashions come and go in fly tying, but some things stay the same. Hen hackles need to be webby and soft to give plenty of motion to wet flies. They also need to have thin, strong stems for durability and so they can be tied in at the tip and not have a bulky stem to tie off. They also need to have lots of fibres of about the same length so you can dress them full or sparse. These Whiting Brahma hen capes are exactly right for the job. The dark dun colour is just what I wanted, there are loads of feathers of every size you could want for trout flies. My flies look great and the trout are impressed. One very happy customer!

I have used Lakeland a number of times and even when they dont have the product theyre still informative and professional, my recent purchases have been exceptional quality; brahma hen capes in tan, March brown, dark olive, and brahma hen saddles in green-chat, silver Dr blue, quality fly tying products enhance the experience of the art of tying and Lakeland certainly go a long way in achieving that.
