The Whiting Heritage Hackle Saddles are the colours of yesteryear from the days of Ted Hebert and Andy Miner and then the quality has been improved by Dr.Tom Whiting with his selective breeding program. The Heritage hackle is all about the most sought after hard to get colours like Speckled Badger, Speckled Duns and the Champagne range of colours and those very special Unique Variants that you only see once in a while!! Owning a Heritage Hackle Saddle is something to treasure as the colouration on most is unique with each saddle being very special in its own right.
Whiting Heritage Hackles Rooster Saddle in Mixed Colours C Barred Medium Ginger/Medium Ginger/Dark Ginger Tying Approx 12/14/16/18. It’s a cracker if YOU WANT A RANGE OF GINGER SHADES, so you have Barred Medium Ginger and then a range of Medium to Dark Ginger Hackles and as you can see, they are on a densely hackled saddle with hackles that are approx. 12-16" (31-41cm) in length, no other rooster range compares to Heritage Hackle for these Natural Colours and the Size Range on saddle C is what I want to see from the Heritage Saddles!!!!Remember at Lakeland you're buying the saddle in the image and they have been sized so you can select the perfect one for your needs.
Sizing is done by nige, the Uk and Europe Tend to size different to the USA, as far as nige is concerned the size should be from the shank to the point, not 1 ½ to 2 times the hook gape. A nige 14 on the Whiting hackle Gauge is a size 18!!!!
Nige spoke to the Whiting Grading Team, Grade 3 is equivalent to Bronze Grade!!!
Remember this is a buy what you see product range so you get the saddle in the image. Read the description and look at the images to see the true colour range!!!!
