Whiting Heritage Hackles Rooster Saddle in Mixed Colours E Barred Blonde, Light Ginger Barred Blonde, Medium Ginger Barred Blonde Tying Approx.size 12/14/16 /18 with a few going smaller. OK folks the base colour of the hackles on Saddle E are more Blonde/Champagne and no were near white with a Very Pale Blonde Barring on 80% of the hackles with the other 20% being blonde barred with Light to Medium Ginger!! The Close-up images show the true colour; the camera seems to enhance the ginger on those taken at arm's length. These hackles are very pale and would produce some interesting hackles if placed in a dye bath!!! As the images show Saddle E is VERY DENSELY Hackled with hackles that reach approx.12-18”.Remember this is a buy what you see product range!!!!!
Sizing is done by nige, the Uk and Europe Tend to size different to the USA, as far as nige is concerned the size should be from the shank to the point, not 1 ½ to 2 times the hook gape. A nige 14 on the Whiting hackle Gauge is a size 18!!!!
Nige spoke to the Whiting Grading Team, Grade 3 is equivalent to Bronze Grade!!!
Remember this is a buy what you see product range so you get the saddle in the image. Read the description and look at the images to see the true colour range!!!!
