VARIVAS IWI 16-foot Tapered Leader has been designed by Keiichero Iwai, Japan’s top fly fisherman and are based on his experience of fishing mountain streams on light tackle. This 16-foot tapered leader offers the best turnover and casting precision – the key to this being the 2 meters (6.7ft) point which makes the longest natural drift keeping small dry flies on the water.

These leaders incorporate Smooth-Tech Coating increasing durability by reducing friction and preventing water absorption.

The tapered butt section enables smaller knots ti reduce the connection profile between the fly line and tapered leader
