The Whiting Grizzly (Formally Lakeland Grizzly) Hen Capes have been carefully selected to give you the perfect hackle for traditional wets and lures. The Whiting Exclusive Grizzly Hen Capes have long hackles that can be Palmered and will tie a lot smaller than the American Hen, Brahma or 4B Hen Capes. These capes complement the range of hen capes we stock perfectly. On average you should be able to tie 4/5 flies per hackle and go down to size 16 and smaller. These are the best Grizzly hen  capes to come out of Whiting Farms for European Style wets offering the perfect range of hackles and a colour range that has been carefully selected by Lakeland.

    I have these grizzle capes in every colour, absolutely outstanding quality every time. I no longer use cock hackles on my wet flies or lures I use these as the vice a better profile and movement in the water, highly recommend.

    I use a lot of Hen hackles and struggled a bit to find hackles long enough to Palmer.I have just purchased 5 of the Whiting Grizzly Hen Capes in various colours and each and every one are superb for length and softness with an abundance of hackles for a full range of hook sizes. The dyeing is subtle and really good quality. I have paid more money for lesser capes and the Lakeland Whiting Grizzly Hen capes are worth every penny!! Top Class.
